Is There A Way To Manullay Repair Tracks In Wot
#ane Posted 23 July 2022 - 04:07 PM
One of the virtually controversial pieces of equipment afterwards Enhanced Armor. Enhanced Tracks, Adds more HP to the track module and repairs from critical to standard. Since the tracks take more hitpoints I was curious if information technology too decreased the penetration of the shell more since in that location is more "Track to get through" sort of deal. And when side scraping the track already acts as a sort of spaced armor and I was wondering if you enhanced your tracks yous would also exist enhancing that "spaced armor they would have to become through."

I don't take whatever answers but I do accept a farther question in regards to enhanced tracks. What exactly does repairs from critical to standard mean. When I've used it I all the same had to use repair kits, does it simply repair tracks faster than normal?
If it burns when I pee, does that hateful I wouldn't be a good firefighter?

Enhanced tracks merely might exist the dumbest slice of equipment in the game.
Hither'south what it does:
So, normally, if you lot get tracked, after a couple seconds, your tracks will be stock-still and turn yellow instead of red.
Well, enhanced tracks basically changes it and so that instead of becoming xanthous, they become fixed all the way. That'due south it. Nothing else.
Here'south why that'due south dumb:
Firstly, xanthous tracks have no effect on your tank's performance, other than being slightly easier to destroy again.
Secondly, when you use a repair kit, your tracks volition get fixed all the way anyhow.

I've noticed a stiff lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?
No, information technology is not. This problem will solve itself with fourth dimension. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, and so they don't have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle armada. Only you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

To add together to the word virtually damaged tracks, Wargaming's wiki verifies Posit1ve_'south point: yellowish tracks do Not affect your tank's statistics.
"Yellow: This state signifies that a module has taken considerable impairment (≥fifty%) but is still operational. Crew members have no yellow state.

I'one thousand willing to bet paychecks that yellowish tracks impact the tanks performance. I am not at all surprised that the Wiki is wrong.

Tracks is lame. It's one of those things that shows that devs had run out of time and ideas but needed to fill upwards the 18 slots grille.
It shiuld make track repairs similar the dracula. This style you unmount some of the repair kit and use that space for something else.
Instead as explined in a higher place, it's useless and even dangerous to use if you think it will assistance u.

Nigh xanthous tracks it would be interesting to find out.
10 rotations one way on road and then x rotations on soft ground with a sluggish tank should be a good test for that,
so the aforementioned with xanthous damaged tracks and nosotros will be all set.
the issue is the wiki is WG hosted merely user made, and rush never had its own wiki.
And then like always, we run on guesses.

Luckily this is a relatively easy mechanic to exam, even alone in a training room. Tape how many rotations you can brand in xxx seconds, then jump off a ridge to pause your tracks. So echo.
#15 Posted 23 July 2022 - 08:45 PM
Keep in mind that the WoT (console and PC versions), while they may carry many similarities and parallels to WoTb, in that location are mechanics that differ completely between them. My rule of thumb: any damaged modules related to tank operation (tracks, engine, gun, turret, and crew) volition impart a negative touch on upon actual performance when damaged (yellow) or broken (red).
I may accept a few too many tanks. I think I was over 150 in garage by final count.
#16 Posted 23 July 2022 - 08:48 PM
I but tested this on Vineyards with my Bulldog:
No track damage: 4.75 rotations in thirty seconds
With yellow runway damage: 4.75 rotations in xxx seconds
Determination: xanthous tracks do not affect tank traverse.

I can't play right now, just I'd think we need to endeavor it on different terrain. Damaged tracks may affect terrain resistance, which is a bigger bargain than near people realize.

Damage to modules does touch on functioning. I've cod'd enough tanks to know this to be a fact. I'd say it's almost 25% just that's a guess. When I'thou trying to COD someone in a light with damaged tracks and I striking a repair kit, the deviation is very noticeable and instant. It may be less noticeable on slower tanks but it does accept an bear upon.

It's super noticeable in ho-hum heavies. That'due south how I'k and so sure that it makes a divergence. When you top out at 20km/h, a small change in speed is a big divergence.
